Elizabeth Haskell
« on: January 08, 2019, 09:18:40 AM »
I came across this last night, thought some might be interested...

https://www.paulickreport.com/news/breeders-cup/haskell-family-affair-de-tomaso-irish-war-cry/

The money for Alejandro De Tomaso's business came from marriage to Elizabeth Haskell, of New Jersey.  Chemical industry money IIRC.  She became Isabelle De Tomaso, and apparently as of 2017 was still kicking.  They met racing cars in Italy in the 50s.

I think many people are unaware that Guzzi in the 70s-90s was the product of American family investment.

And a serious trail of pollution from the manufacture of munitions (Late 1800's iirc), acquired eventually by  DuPont. . . .  in the beautiful hills, valleys and lakes of North West NJ. R3~
