Calif 1400 Lighting Question
« on: July 05, 2022, 06:25:15 PM »
I have a '14 Calif 1400 Touring with the large (60 liter) top case. I have often toyed with the idea of converting the reflectors on the top case into supplemental brake lights (and possibly turn signals).

I'm wondering if anyone has done that and, If so, how did they do it. What parts, source for the parts, mods to the top case, wiring issues, canbus issues, etc.

Thanks

could you include a link to a picture, I'm sure it's possible.

You are probably looking for IP65 Outdoor rating.

I'm sure it's possible, too. I just wonder if anyone has done this yet. I know I can figure it out, but if someone else already did it, I won't have to "reinvent the wheel."

I did attach a picture (yikes, it looks like a yeti in the reflection 🤣). I'm sure that anyone who has a Calif with the large top case knows what it looks like.

The reflectors appear to be attached with double-face tape.
