The Last Muley Lab Litter Turns 13 Today

Ella was from the last litter of the Muley Lab bloodline.  She turns 13 today, so I am guessing she very well could be the last one standing of the long and illustrious line.   

Muley (Russ) raised labs starting in 1991 and would give interested members of WG first dibs on the litters.  The final edition was the 2013 litter, which Ella was part of.

Everyone cherished their Muley labs and spoke very highly of them.  Ella is no different.  Just a great dog in all respects.

Happy birthday Ella! At 13 she may well be the only remaining of her litter mates. Thanks Dave I enjoy seeing the pup, middle age, and senior pics.

From a less than stellar bloodline Sophie will be 14 on (or about) August 20th. Her mother was picked up by the dog pound with a broken leg after being hit by a car in Boon County. A day later she gave birth to a litter of pups. The following week all were to be euthanized but Animal Friends of Monongalia County heard of their plight and picked them up from the pound. The mother's leg had to be amputated and the pups raised on goat milk. All including the mother got adopted.

Sophie and Strafie today on the dog couch. Strafie was dumped on the property last fall along with two other boxer mix dogs all which had recently had litters.

If I had known then what I know now (how many times has that been said about so many things?), I would have gotten myself one. My loss.   :sad:

Her sister Pink, killed by Lyme disease at 7 years old.
