Please tell me what this is
« on: October 19, 2021, 08:24:07 PM »
I own a 2020 California Touring. This plug on the harness is located on the battery cover. I have no idea what it is for.

Looks similar to the diagnostic plug on a CalVin.

Someone more knowledgeable about 2020's will chime in soon.

That's the Australia plug , when connected it allows for the motorbike to operate upside down .

Of course...it is the rare and elusive "PIPDICATOR PLUG" - - once activated, it solves any and all electrical and mechanical problems once and for all!!

I’m not great at reading these, but I think you can find your answer somewhere between p. 79-81. It looked to me like the instrument support plug but I could be mistaken.

It looks to me like an aux power supply--looks as though there are just two wires.

I looked at the wiring diagram but I still can't identify it. The wiring diagram is only up to a 2018 model.

That's what I thought. But a power supply for what?

Pretty sure that's the switched 12V power supply.
At least it looks exactly as the one on my V7 III.

Usefull for all kinds of stuff.
I have a twin USB-port connected to it.
(The original Guzzi USB port connects to that plug too)

Cheers,
D.

Hook it up to something and see what it does. What could possibly go wrong?

Not sure where the battery is located on your bike, but if it's under the seat...

I have a similar connection under the seat of my Concours. It's for a heated seat (that mine does not have).

All joking aside, that is the plug for the insertion of the hydro fluid gyro stabilized Turbo Encabulator.

You have to love some these responses. Evidently that plug enables my MG to do space travel.
