This gives me an excuse to post some pictures I took at this event.  First, more pictures of the Guzzi:

Here's a super clean Moto Morini:

A nice Laverda:

A Benelli:

A Ducati:

A Gilera:

And sometimes the parking lot is as interesting as the show.  Found this Lario in the parking lot.  It had an out of state license.  Some east coast state, I forget which one:

:thumb: :thumb: :thumb:  - - Great photos!

I used to ride to Lukenback, occasionally, when I lived in Austin, TX, in the late 70's.

Would love to go to this event someday in the near future. :thumb:

Definitely worth the trip

New bathroom facilities in Luckenback make camping there almost fun.  If you like 3AM burn out contests and drunks running through camp at all hours.

If you'd like some sleep, stay at one of the local campgrounds or hotels in nearby Fredericksburg.

Bike show is great.  AF1 Moto Guzzi out of Austin attends regularly.  Auction items and Raffle bike are top notch (have to be present to win).

Fine riding in area.

Plus 1 on that...Harvest Festival is a fun time to be sure...and concur on the camping comment.  Best to grab a hotel nearby than camp...

So many great roads to ride there...

Shades of Laconia, New Hampshire at the campground, during the bike races, in the early 1980's....

JJ, How do you like Motorcycle Classics magazine.  Does it have bike history and or rebuild/repair info?

that one is a color story on a rally so no, not on that bike.
On a featured bike piece like the 1939 BMW R51 that starts on the next page it will let you not only about the development of the bike but the history of the restoration,  'very, very good if you
are into old bikes.  It's one of the few motorcycle magazines I still subscribe to,  Rider would
be the other.

Good magazine overall...if you like vintage bikes...they have some rebuild / repair info, but I don't subscribe anymore, as I was just getting too many magazines every month.

However, I still subscribe to REAL CLASSIC BIKE (from the UK), and that is one of my favorites. :thumb:

Motorcycle Classics or WALNECK's or "The Buzz Feed" (Buzz Walneck), should fit the bill for USA sources for vintage / classic bike parts, etc.... :thumb:
