Are both wheels pulling? If the left isn't, the RH wheel will turn the machine left....
Isn't that backwards ??? Dusty
The mower is rear drive, and when I have the drive wheels off the ground both turn, so some power is going to the left wheel.
Uh fellas , this is a WALK BEHIND mower , not a rider . Dusty
Should've replaced BOTH drive belts, getting just enough slip on L to cause difference in drive with load.
G.G. said in post that she replaced the belt drive to the rear drive gearbox, so I presume there is only one belt. Never seen that model but if it has a diff in there it may be driving one wheel more than the other, although if both wheels turn when the machine is lifted up them usually that side of things would be ok. If it is a live drive I would have no idea why it would go round in circles other than a flat tire.
The patient is a 5 year old Honda walk behind with enough hours on it that I should start looking for a replacement... Actually worn the Honda OHC engine to the point it needed a valve adjustment. Broke the drive belt to the rear drive gearbox, replaced with a new belt and it pulls to the left. Had to clean out all the vegetation on the right side to get the belt in, was wondering if that threw it "off balance"? Cleaned out all the vegetation on the left side to equalize the drag, but it still pulls left. Any ideas?
How could a walk behind have a flat tire ???? Dusty
