I'd like to think that it parallels the observations by Lannis, although unlike him, I tend to follow the principle. "Why use ten words when one hundred will do", it would work with an Aussie audience, (I hope !)

Had no idea you were a barrister.

I've been thinking about getting a Boba Fett helmet.

Do you think that the Alliance folks will think less of me, or hate me as an Imperial stooge?   I really like it, and it's pre-knocked-around, so it would go great with my skinny jeans with holes in them, but I'm just not sure.

What does the list think ... ?

Then you completely misunderstand the term and Huzos rather on point elaboration.

Red suspenders are their own form of peacocking.

What I'm getting at Dusty, is that everything we do is a manifestation of the way we want the world to view us.

Yeah fair enough Dusty, but ultimately it's what YOU think of you that matters. (But you knew that already) :thumb:

They coexist perfectly well. The important thing is what you think of yourself, but no matter how stubbornly independent we claim to be there is always a part of us who gives a crap about what someone else thinks too, even if that's not particularly important it's still there in our genetic coding and the simple environment of being raised from a child.

Public Service Notice.

Of course fashionable attire while riding your Moto Guzzi is not mandatory, but it is much appreciated by your brand mates.  :thumb:

Yep.   The clothes we wear, the vehicles we ride/drive, the things we say, the image we try to present to the world, and ESPECIALLY the things we post in places like Wild Guzzi are ALL indications that we give a crap about what other people think.

And the people that protest the hardest that "they don't care what the world thinks" are often the ones that are TRYING the hardest to present an image that they want the world to see, and are often the ones most concerned with that image.

I'm in there somewhere, not sure where.   Like everyone else, I view the world through my OWN lens, not theirs.

I almost agree with that - it is normal to gravitate to some form of
group/tribe validation but it's not so for everyone. People break out and try
something new occasionally even if they normally like people validating
their exhistance and there are those who's instinct is to not be part
Of the herd - that's where originality lives.

Easier on your own though, once you become a family man your
Almost forced to conform for the sake of your kids.
