3rd Annual San Diego - Lake Henshaw Moto Guzzi Gathering

Please join us for the 3rd annual Lake Henshaw Guzzi Gathering in Santa Ysabel, California. While a Moto Guzzi event, all makes of motorcycles are welcomed. The resort is located on the west side of Lake Henshaw on Hwy 76 in North San Diego County , near the southern edge of Palomar Mountain.
Cabins and camping are available, cabin reservations can be made starting July 15th. Do reserve early, as they ( 17 cabins total ) are also available to the general public. Cabins sleep 4 to 7 people, rates run between $80 and $90 per night. Camping rates for 1 person and bike are $15 per night, car with tent, $20 night, Truck/trailer /RV sites go for $25-30 per night depending on hookups etc. Bathrooms have showers and there are lots of large shade trees throughout the campground, it`s huge.
There is a restaurant on site, next to the camp store, the Lake Henshaw Cafe. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and are open 8am to 8pm. Henshaw Resort Store hours are 7am to 7pm.
We have rented the Guzzi Clubhouse again for a place to gather, relax,visit, evening campfire ( conditions permitting ) . We will have Coffee and light snacks, toast etc on Sat and Sun morning starting at around 7am.
Rides will be organized Saturday morning in front of the Store, likely around 10 am. Check at the clubhouse for updates as to starting times and routes, self guided maps will be there too. The area has amazing roads in all directions. Happy Hour Saturday afternoon at the Guzzi Clubhouse starting near 4 pm. Please join us at the clubhouse after dinner for dessert, libations, and if any door prizes are donated, we`ll give them out to the present rally members then.
The area is in a somewhat remote region, other nearby conveniences, gas, restaurants, etc can be found in Santa Ysabel, Julian, Ramona. the La Jolla Indian Reservation, Pauma Valley and Valley Center. Cell phones at the resort generally work, but no wifi.
This is a no fee event , suggested donations of $5 or $10 helps organizers cover the clubhouse, food and libations. We are looking forward to seeing everyone, old friends and new, we will be arriving Friday mid day and likely cleared out near 10 am Sunday.

I plan to be there again. Is there going to be a BBQ on Saturday night, or are we on our own?

I am planning on being there. My Stelvio is running well and my friend in Oceanside now has a M/C endorsement on his license, so he may not be quite so nervous. I will just stay with him in O'side.

Really a beautiful spot in the hills near Mt. Palomar...

Good Guzzi people, nice cabins, good food at the restaurant, nice clubhouse, great riding in the surrounding area, fine Fall weather in October, tasty apple pie (and more!) in Julian, San Diego is nearby...What's not to like?

Yes, that's Tracy Nuzzo, who is from SOCAL, but now lives in France and teaches English over there, and yes, she rides a Griso. She is also an excellent rider, by the way!!

Nope. SWMBO says the grand kids are seniors this year, and us being out there when school's in upsets their routine. <shrug> It seems like just the other day that we went to SoCal 4 times a year. Now, it's over Christmas vacation, and occasionally Spring vacation.
