Being held this year at Beaver's new place in Lindale.
People start showing up as early as Friday.
Lots of good roads in area.
One of my favorite rallys held by one of my favoritest people.

Come ride to Pittsburg Texas for some famous hot links.

Oct 6, 2019 36TH ANNUAL GUZZI RIDERS IN TEXAS (GRIT) RALLY

The one-day FREE event for Moto Guzzi riders and their guests will be held from 8:00 A.M. – 3:00 P.M. at 15093 County Road 431 (AKA Jim Hogg Road), Lindale, Texas. It's at the intersection of County Roads 431 and 474 and the entrance is on County Road 474. Come early for the pre-rally campout on Friday and Saturday, October 4 and 5. No water or electric hookups for campers or motor homes, but there are plenty of electrical outlets for your chargers. If it's cool enough and if there's no burn ban, we can enjoy telling tales around the campfire. Explore East Texas on one of the many routes that have been mapped out. There is a swimming pool with a heated spa, so bring your swimsuit and towel. If the weather doesn't cooperate, we can move inside. All meals provided and coffee, tea, water, and soft drinks will be available all weekend. Ken Hand will be making his famous dessert breads again this year! It's okay to come a few days early and/or stay a few days later! For more info, contact: MGNOC Texas State Rep Georganne Foster, 903-3167720, anniev06@yahoo.com.

I WILL be there.  Maybe with a Honda and Harley buddy in tow!  The ride from my house to lindale is probably the best ride I’ve ever had

Beaver goes to great lengths making interesting road maps for the area. And her awards and food are second to none. I'll behave myself so I don't miss this one.

Thank you for starting this post!  I don't have a computer at my house and my phone doesn't get on the internet! My little grandkids don't know how I get by.  I saw a t-shirt that I need with 2 dinosaurs looking at their phones.  One had a flip phone (like mine) and the other was saying "Oh my, you really ARE a dinosaur!

Yes, the rally will be at my house again this year.  If the weather doesn't cooperate - too hot, too rainy, too cold (ya never know what it's gonna do at that time of year, it's been in the 40's and 80's) we can move inside.  There's plenty of room. You can throw a tent out where ever you want or you can stay in one of the nearby motels:

Hampton Inn 903-882-1002
Best Western Inn 903-882-8884
Comfort Suites 903-882-8613
Laquinta Inn & Suites 903-882-1600
Motel 6  903-882-7800

Like the others have said, there are some great roads in East Texas.  You can even travel the world without leaving Texas - New York, Paris, Athens, and Palestine are all nearby (within an hour or 2).  Dave can tell you about licking the salt walls on the museum in the Great Salt city of Grand Saline.  There's lots to see and do so if you want to come earlier and stay later so you'll have time to explore, just let me know.

Word on the street is that the Sultan of Cedarvale will be there. Yes, it is safe to cross the Red River.

I thought the Sultan didn’t want to attend the GRIT rally due to concerns about that Slicer guy and some unpaid gambling debt from 1979.    Did that get cleared up?

Do not trifle with the Sultan of Chedhur Veil.   And remember well that the GRIT rally lies thoroughly under the suzerainty of the Sultan.

Scotch and cigars are either highly encouraged, or required by law at this event, I can't remember .... Wish I could be there but I'm way overbooked .... !!!

Cigars? I'll be there with a well stocked humidor.

Beaver, Do you want my friend, Slicer to contact Dusty to get your rally posted on the top of the page? Slkicer said he'd be happy to take his one nutted pit bull named Pansy to visit Dusty.

There is a great big Moto Guzzi hat at my house.  Is the owner of that hat coming to claim it, SmithSwede?

Amanda and I are planning on being there. We've got a campsite reserved at Tyler State Park this time, but we'll be riding over to hang out with y'all, and she slooking forward to riding her v7 on a little group ride this year.
