I like the look. Interesting clutch lever with the pivot point on the end. Reminds me of old compression releases.
You can almost hear those exhaust pipes scraping.

+1 on pipes scraping, Deno.  Uncomfortable riding position for me.  Kinda art deco looking.  Bike design for me revolves around seating position.
I can't sit like that, feels unnatural.  So, yup, never owned a cruiser.  Gotta lead with my head, not my feet.

Upon further evaluation I guess the feet aren't too far forward.  Still, looks uncomfortable to me.

I think that pic you posted is it's most favorable angle.... further inspection takes away from the whole IMHO. This is a curb machine.

I also kinda like it.  I think they are a little "late to the party" though, the bobber look has been around for a while, and does not sell all that well it seems. Look at Triumphs bobber, they are not a big seller, and I have seen them discounted at the local Triumph dealer. That engine does look huge, though!

Hi all,                                                                                                        9-16-19

BMW is BMW and HD is HD.  Different marketing strategies, different target audience, different mindset.  BMW has tried this before...mid 80's CL1200C, CL, CLC.  It didn't work then it certainly won't work now.  That bike is a beautiful, basic object of wonderful engineering art in motion. Put it in a museum, but don't even think of putting it into production.  Don't do it BMW...don't do it.

Be well,
DougG

First time I saw this I was convinced it was a photoshop. I'm betting Pics don't do it justice. It looks malformed and mutated to me...... Almost like a caricature of an old school air head.  Kudos to the Bring More Wallet company for a real retro styled bike though.

I think my favorite custom of all time is the R5 Hommage created by BMW in 2016, you can see now where it was an early design study for the new cruiser.  The paint job alone would make me get a comfortable chair for the garage just so I could sit and look at it.  For actual riding I'll keep my 1400 Tour, but this is a beautiful bike.

The R18 is beautiful but the entire 5 bike line up has been pushed back a year. Just a couple months ago this R18 cruised was said to be released at the big show this year. Now, as of 2 weeks ago, they’re being delayed a year.

It’s absurdly long.  Why is the front wheel so big.  Oh, to look cool.   Not bad BMW, you’re only a decade late.
