The old bod just couldnt handle it any longer
I had the same issue.. thought I was in pretty good shape for a guy of 60. A personal trainer told me my core strength sucked, and he'd have me back on sport bikes in no time. After nearly killing me I'm still riding a V11S at 3/4 of a century..
So is it more comfortable than the Centauro was or are you just in better core shape now? :)
They are pretty similar. The AeroLario is a little more "dedicated," but I can ride it all day. What got me to the gym was an ST2 in the late 90s. Come to think of it, I must have been in my mid 50s, then. Just a young whippersnapper.
you do need some twisty roads nearby to really appreciate the Scura's forte...it will just lean and lean and take any turn effortlessly...
Its a win if you can keep on riding by what ever means it takes.
finally realized the riding position was too much
At that milage the bike isn't even run in. My first Guzzi was a high milage VII Sport, I loved that machine and swore I would never sell it but finally realized the riding position was too much and traded it in on a Griso.
I just want to be able to ride it all day without worrying about getting stranded. I guess I should be ok if I address all the normal stuff people report?
The black one is a red (short) frame 2000/2001 (I think) The white faced Veglias on it are considerably more reliable than the ITIs that came on 03s onward. Caig DeOxit will fix the electrics. We fixed the transmission spring problem a couple of years ago. 2002s had the flaking engine paint.Best is subjective, but the 03s on are better sorted from the factory. You sure can. Everything you need to know is on the V11Lemans forum. Docc has well over 100000 on his. Getcha some Omron relays, getcha a Roper plate (another collaboration on the V11 forum) check for transmission case cracks at the rear mounting points on the model, and ride it anywhere.
