I looked at those, and none say anywhere if they are front or rear tires.

Tried to cross-reference to part numbers on the Kenda website, and none of the part numbers hit.

Doesn't sound right somehow ... as if someone were advertising Castrol 20W50 at $1 a quart.

Maybe they're sort of old and would be unsalable if they held on to them much longer?

Got to be some reason ... Like they say about sounding too good to be true ...

Hey Charlie, they have the Kenda Challenger in both the 100 90 18 , and 110 90 18 sizes,  those should fit the loops. $25. bucks per tire shipped. My Tires tend to dry rot instead of wearing out,my current Spitfires , are about 5 years old.I am almost tempted!

Shipping is free on orders over $35.

As kballowe notes, they don't say whether they're fronts or rears, but the front has an extra longitudinal groove that the rear lacks.

Then there's the question of "how old are the tires"? They may have been languishing in a Pep-Boys warehouse for years and may not be exactly fresh.

So, buying a pair isn't without risk, one must ask themselves if the low cost is worth it. FWIW, the same tires are $49 and $53 respectively at American Motorcycle Tire.

Thanks for the post.  I've been thinking about replacing the tires on my 45 year old fishing boat trailer.   a little 13'6" Alum Gregor

I think the tires are only 25 years old now.....

I really need to go fishing after spring thaw in the high country.

Now if I can just figure out a way to tow it with my Griso I'd be very happy.  I could put the camping gear in the boat.

:thumb:  I've read in a couple of different places that IF tires are stored correctly - temperature controlled area, wrapped, etc. - they can last a long time with little or no deterioration.  The operative word here is "IF".  On the other hand, for $20/each, if you're not a hard-riding maniac you're not risking much by buying & using them, as long as you keep a good eye on sidewall condition & how soft/hard the rubber on the tread is...  On the other hand, for me peace of mind is worth factoring into the prices I pay, so I'd pay up for some other brand &/or source.

I just bought a pair of the Kenda challengers for my Eldorado 110 90 18 rear and a 100 90 18 front. I got free shipping, and the grand total to my door came out to $43.02! :thumb: That included Arizona state tax, and a state tire fee of .79 per tire.  I will let you all know when I receive them, how old the tires are, etc.

Hi Folks, I just wanted to let you all know,I received my $43. pair of Kendas in 3 days . The date of manufacture on the tires is 2013. They look fine, and smell very "fresh" , by that I mean that strong new rubber smell tires give off. They dont have a bunch of brownish residue on the surface of the rubber, like you see with tires that have sat in a warehouse for a long time.
I plan to spoon them on my Eldorado in the next couple of days. I will see how they handle compared to the 6 year old Spitfires that are on it.
A friend of mine ordered a rear tire for his Vulcan Cruiser, also for $20. He told me his tire was made in 2015, and he is very happy with his purchase so far. :thumb:

Sure they do. Any 215/55-16 car tire will work a treat.

They only have limited sizes in Kenda motorcycle tires for $20. It seems like mostly sizes used on older metric cruisers.
