I know it’s early, but is any talking about an Oklahoma campout yet ?
Hopefully Oct 7,8,9 .
I managed to get a spot for our Fifth wheel then.
Any other get together’s that aren’t listed on MGNOC ?
Haven’t been on here for a while. Dealing with a lot of stuff , but great to be back !

I hope so...she was very remorseful. After a couple months of paperwork, all got taken care of thru the Oklahoma State Parks claim fund, so all's good. Driving lights have been fixed and bar ends restored reasonably well. I should know better by now not to park near the Pavilion anymore, will just leave it in the middle of the grass where the pickup trucks with their trailers and 4x4's can't get close to it!
If it gets knocked over again, someone is going for a Missourah boat Ride - Josey Wales style!

My first Oklahoma rally was 20 years ago this fall and my first introduction to David Massey’s white lightning. Good stuff.

Tradition has been for the Oklahoma Campout to be on the 2nd weekend of October. The GRIT Rally is held on the 1st weekend. I learned this from reliable sources. :grin:

My brother-in-law's cousin says the Hoe-Noe-Bee Bigfoot is real.
A couple of years ago Darren and I went to the Honobia Bigfoot Fest during the campout. Dusty would've been proud since no one there believed the beast was real.

it’s on my radar be their at 3/4 afternoon I’m going to ride my FX , got to take it by Harley deal and just check on having heated grips put on for next year trip to Disney land in fl. and it’s just fun to ride. Going to bring eggs and sausage Hope someone has a big pot for breakfast and maybe cheese and frozen hash browns. Someone bring stove. I can haul so much in a sidecar. Sausage & bacon I get when I raise a few hog’s cow’s & chickens.Rudy

Karen and I got here last night. We are in spot #1 in our house ( toy hauler) and brought plenty of stuff with us. And got the truck for a store run if needed.
The weather looks great and most of the big riding groups will in Fayetteville for the weekend so the Parkway shouldn’t be too crowded.
Should be a great weekend !

Nope, it's usually on Columbus Day weekend which is Monday 9 Oct. So 5-8 Oct covers it.
Since all the RVs slots are gone and a couple of tent slots left, I wouldn't take bets on the Pavilion. I'm not here to post bad news, just to get everyone on the same page. BTW- there are lots of bigger campgrounds in the area off the highway too. But that would even be more confusing.

In that case, as I now remember that it was indeed the weekend before European Occupation Day, The first weekend is good with me. If all agree, we can spread the word... Still think that I will camp somewhere though no matter.

I called the park. New guy there, real nice dude. Said he was pretty good with the way we had been doing things as far as using the pavilion and pitching tents around it. Of course there is the "added tent" rate of $16 per night. The pavilion is open for the first weekend of October which is the 7th and 8th. Post a reply if this weekend works for everyone and if it would be worth reserving the pavilion or not and I will call back. If we all agree, just know that this year will be like last year as there will be no meals and whatnot provided. There simply isn't time to put together a proper rally/campout.

The GRIT Rally is always the weekend with the 1st Sunday in October. The OK Rally is the following weekend. Some long distance out of staters come to the GRIT Rally and then head up to OK on their way home. So this year, GRIT is Sept 29, 30, and Oct 1st, so OK should be Oct 6, 7, 8.
The Norton Rally is the same weekend as GRIT so some GRIT goers head to the Norton Rally on Saturday for the day. It has changed locations this year and is now about 1 1/2 hr southeast of Lindale. https://www.ntnoa.org/23rallye.htm

I was just looking at the weather for next weekend and it doesn't look too bad. There is a chance of some rain in the AM on Saturday and a smaller chance of an isolated rain shower in the afternoon. The temps are golden however as its supposed to be very very pleasant (compared to the 100's of the last several months). Looking forward to seeing who all can make it.

The Misses and I had a great time. Weather was perfect and there were no sightings of Bigfeets or Hessian"s (that can be confirmed). The roads down toward Honobia were fantastic. The food hit the spot all weekend as we first stopped in Mena at the Chopping Block and then on Saturday were ate at Outlaw BBQ in Talihena and ate with Rudy. We absolutely enjoyed visiting with all of our riding friends. Just as an FYI, there is the Gulf Coast BMW club's rally in Lafayette, La on November 9-11 at the Bayou Wilderness RV park. Looking forward to next year to see what that will hold.
