the best brake bleed system there is

Forgive me if I posted this in past years, but I just had to mention it. I rode the V7 last week to work and to my surprise, the front brake was not tight. Over the weekend, hooked up the $20 MotionPro Bleeder tool and all is good, completely flushed the system, front and back single handedly. I've owned this thing for many years and use it on my cars as well. Great product.

Personally mine is a $2 syringe from Tractor Supply and $0.03 worth of 1/4" aquarium tubing. Reverse bleeding work s a treat with little to no threat of introducing air into the system.

So how do you do "reverse bleeding" then?   

I watched the Motion Pro youtube video, but they were using the "Mini-Bleeder" that has an 8mm wrench handle already built in to the one-way valve .....

So, any hint as to what size Speed Bleeder we use on our new (-ish) Guzzis?   There's no hint on the Speed Bleeder site ... ?

Maybe it's easy and all the old ones use one size and all the new ones another?

Call them and tell them what Brembo calipers you have.  Or Todd at GuzziTech sells them, he'll know.

Also, spring for the stainless.  Speed Bleeders sells a tube and reusable IV bag to catch the old fluid.

I used to do the integrated brakes on my Calvin in about 15 minutes.

Open the MC cap,
Use Syringe to suck out as much old fluid as possible.
Connect small section od tubing to syringe
Drawl a syringe full of new fluid
Connect other end of tubing to bleed nipple
Hold syringe upright so air bubble goes up towards syringe plunger
Crack open bleed nipple and depress the plunger to inject new fluid into caliper.
When syringe is all but empty close off bleed nipple.

Repeat as needed.

I rebuilt the linked brakes on my T3 and was dreading bleeding them. Having used the mity-vac on my V50's linked brakes with little success, lots of time and several pints of brake fluid I gave reverse bleeding a try. Within 20 minutes or so and 1/2 pint of fluid all 3 calipers were bleed and working better than new. The mity-vac went in the trash as I knew it would never be used again.

Yep, I use the syringe method on bikes and the convoluted brake systems, many with two master cylinders per brake on airplanes. Documented it on the Lario rehab thread. Somewhere..

The Brembos on my LeMans take SB8125L bleeders while the '96 Cali takes the SB1010S

I've used the syringe method as well, works great. When I rebuild calipers or am assembling a brand new brake system, I use the syringe.

As for SpeedBleeders, their cost is nearly as much as the MotionPro tool and you need one for every caliper. The MotionPro tool is a just that, a speed bleeder valve, but can be used with any caliper.

Never had any issues (on bikes) with just using the Mityvac. <shrug>

On cars, I use a garden sprayer converted to a pressure bleeder. All that takes is removal of the spray wand and a machined billet cap to fit the reservoir attached to the hose in it's place.
