rear drive parts Cal II
« on: September 27, 2021, 10:18:21 AM »
I installed a new cardan joint,  bearing, and shaft coupler.  Upon inspection the pinion gear is spalling.  Looking for a used rear end in good shape or suggestions about where I can find a trustworthy source for the gear and ring.  Stein Dinse is the cheapest for a new set but I might also need the bearings and shims.  Also open to someone fixing it for me.

I have a rear drive from a Centauro, I don't know what ratio they had.

Thanks Foto, I'm told it won't fit.

Pretty sure it's just the housing mount is a little different?  Just take off that mounting bracket? It is painted different

Not trying to be pushy but the internals could be put into a housing that will work, I even have such a housing.. still don't know the ratio, 8X33?

8/33. The triangular bracket and cover on the front at the input would need to be removed, plus IIRC the hole in the case for the floating axle pivot bearing is larger as well and a non-floating spacer won't fit.
