The knockout stuff has improved as well.  I remember going home and going straight to bed waking up the next day.  Last time, I straight woke up and went for steak and eggs, and had the rest of the day.

It's still better than doing it without anesthesia.

You got that right. Been there done that and almost kept me from consenting to any further ones when my first one was done without anything.

My first one was done with no anaesthesia.    Uncomfortable but no acute pain.   My guy must have been steering better than yours!

Knocked out or not, a day's hassle is better than a lifetime changing colostomy bags.

I said while you are working on me, might as well do a vasectomy too. Walked out of the Docs office and kick started my ole pan head and road 42 miles home. The last 20 was washboard gravel.

Next one will be # 3 or 4 for me.  Only slightly overdue (Apr of this year.)  I totally agree with one of the previous posters.  Don't put it off, especially the first time, because of the unknown.  Just do it.  If you think it's bad for you, just imagine the doc on the other end of the procedure.  But of course, he's making some $$ for performing this RotoRotor procedure.

Main ride:  2008 Guzzi 1200 Sport (sold July 2020)

2014 Honda CB1100 (Traded Nov 2019)
New:  2016 Triumph T120 (Traded Dec 2021)

My family doc wanted me to do the home kit but bottom doc said no no no! Doesn’t get the polyps you don’t know you have and isn’t accurate.  The PA I trust.. all the girls in office concurred.

Morgan Spurlock of Supersize Me documentary fame goes to Thailand for a number of medical procedures.  Included in what is done is an remote a$$cam colonoscopy.  You swallow it.  You don't have to be awake or asleep while someone is playing Roto Rooter.   In the trailer, you'll see the size of the cam and him taking it.  Brings new meaning to a "vacation in Bangkok".

From the Deep Deep South out in left field.  There are no stupid questions.  There are however stupid people asking questions.  🤣, this includes me.  😉

A little light reading for your amusement.  Apparently from a British bicycle forum, in their "off topic" section from 2007.  Scan through for the victi ...err... original poster blu-tone for the "condensed" version.

I just re read this from the original thread in 07. I'm crying again. Dorcia asked why I was laughing.. and she remembered, too.
