I'll say "no" - because I have no idea what that is. Please enlighten.
Damn - I'd love to meet up with you guys but I have a client meeting going on then and after I need to fix a niece's new computer. But I will be on the Norge and will head up PCH from Torrance when I get finished. Wave if you see me.New Year's Eve Day is the Norton Club ride up ACH to Newcomb's Ranch, as well as the LA Biker Breakfast and ride up. If'n you're not doing anything else that day, come join us.jdg
John, I'm thinking Neptune's net for lunch.. somewhere around 11:30- noon. We should be coming down Decker toward the PCH before then. When do people show up an Newcomb's.. roughly..?
On a Monday? Usually some folks there from about 11ish on. Being Christmas/New Years week there could be more, but weather here in the valley is supposed to get down below freezing tonight with the highs along the coast in the mid 50s.I'll try to make it to Neptune's for lunch.jdg
Jd, you're late. Skipped doing Decker just to make sure we'd be on time. No matter, the Scura rally went on as intended. "Ahem" there was only one Scura in attendance. The rest were all inop. (Guzzi content..) Had a great time meeting Scud and Rox.Oh, the Guzzis? They rock. Similar, but *different*.I think a good time was had by all.
How's that weather in the Midwset?
Well, Hell. Y'all didn't say you were going to stop by the Rock Store. I hit Neptune's about 12:45. Customer took a bit longer than expected. No Guzzis there, only an Indian, and a couple of crotch rockets, so a pass through the parking lot and a nice ride down PCH to Santa Monica and over to my nieces to fix her new computer.Glad you had a good day. Next time, show them the 747 house off Yerba Buena and Cotharin https://goo.gl/maps/o5cr4YWSxPD2jdg
chuck, regarding the mighty scura...i have mike rich stage 2 heads, mike rich 10.25 pistons, megacycle 620 x 10 cam and chromoly pushrods installed in my 2004 cafe sport.what valve lash settings do you use?when i first checked the valves, all were tight... i meen some did not alow the pushrods to spin freely!i set them to .006 int .008 exh...mike rich said the pushrods make the measurements need to be .002 int .003 exh...is there any danger leaving them at .006 and .008?bike sure seems to idle better at this setting.what is your take?
That's the one with the oriental gateway? Check your PMs.. have a question.
Yep, that's the one. If you look to your right (assuming you came up Yerba Buena) you can see the house and grounds pretty clearly before you get to the gate. I'm sure you noticed that the gate uses a bunch of 747 engine parts in and around it.PM answered.jdg
glad you folks had a good ride, I must admit that one of my longest wheelies was on Chucks Scura when I was looking after it for Roper, (made sure it had a sloppage plate) Once the front came up you could go from first through third with the thing still standing up, then it got to fast to keep going, man that Scura has some punch!
