Ebay Sort By Year Is Gone?
« on: May 21, 2015, 10:27:56 AM »
Have any of you noticed this?

May be a good way to make me do less browsing and purchasing!

I have noticed this, it seems like it is not all the time though.  Maybe a glitch, I don't know.

You also cannot do wild-card (*) searches such as toggle switch* to get all variations of 'switch', and you can't exclude a seller from a search -- so if some asshat with 50,000 f***ing Morini chromed kickstand bearings decides to list every one separately, I can't simply exclude him.  I have to wade through every listing.  Finally, they've come up with an "A" list/"B" list thing where if you do a sort -- say by price -- it offers things from low-high with the sellers they want you to buy from, and then the listings start over, buried deep in the pages -- with the "B" list products.

I called Ebay and the non-English-speaking representative said she would try to find an answer and have somebody call me back.  That was a week ago. Yesterday, I received a survey email from Ebay asking about my experience in calling Ebay for help.  Still no response from them.

Hey, like I said, this will probably keep me from browsing around so much and buying things!

Sounds like eBay is getting like a lot of "old" businesses have gotten:

"Who are you?  A 'customer', you say?  Well, bugger off and quit bothering me, don't you understand we've got an Internet business to run here, we're changing parameters to maximize 'hits'; we haven't got time to f*** with you ...."

The founders made their $600 billion and skived off of inventing - now the accountants and techno geeks are running things, and it's downhill from here ....

Looks like they have restored the sort by year function.

No, but, you can search for:
"moto morini" -kickstand

and you'll get all moto morini listings EXCEPT the 50,000 f**king chomed kickstand bearing listings.
