Is it the Dellorto?
freebirdbeachbum:
After sitting for way too long, I wheeled my '65 Lodola out for a run and it didnt go well. My initial diagnosis was fuel starvation as she did everything right until she quit suddenly halfway down the street. After a few moments, she will start right back up and idle for several minutes and suddenly die.
I completely dissasembled and cleaned the carb in the ultrasonic and checked the petcocks and fuel cap vent and they were good but still no success. It seems that if I continue to "tickle" the carb when she starts to lose power she will continue to run.
Any and all suggestions appreciated.
Thanks. Ken

My first thought is fuel starvation. Check float level, check float pin is straight. Check choke is not staying open etc. Of course it could be lots of things. Make sure your ht leads are good, coils good and so on.
Hope you sort it.

Open the gas cap, the vent may be plugged.

Usually it's the idle jets after sitting a long time. Did you make sure they were totally clean?
Turin:
The jets were my thought as well. I just went through a gummed up pair of Delorto VHBs. Guzzino sells jet cleaning tool for $8.00.
