Light question Cal II
« on: February 26, 2015, 12:41:39 AM »
:+=copcar When switching the light switch to run, should the four marker lights (turn signals) come on as well. I can't see how according the wiring diagram. And can someone tell me about the flasher switch vs the flash switch next to the horn?

No, the amber lights don't come on wit the headlight.

I don't know for sure about two flasher units.  My guess would be if the other one is indeed a flasher, it's for 4-ways.  I don't recall if yours has 4-ways though.  Could you be looking at the 'flash-to-pass' button?  It works the high beam like a horn.

Hello my 84 cal II has a toggle switch on the left side of the instrument cluster that activates the 4 way flashers , it works even with the key off. when I turn on the headlight/taillight, the turn signals do not illuminate. the flash to pass button on the left hand side, flashes the high beam "european style"
Hope this helps,
Rick.

THAT'S what it is for!!!!!!!!! ;-T I couldn't figure out why a flasher (I assumed something to todo with the ambers) was connected to the horn!

Yes, it does, but, what is "European style"? Are you referring to the flash to pass or how the light actually flashes?

Thanks all!!! Huge moment of clarity!
