Bagger
« on: May 13, 2016, 03:22:12 PM »
Pushed out the Aero Lario and was getting suited up to go use up the last of the rear tire. That's two for the Aero engine.
It just struck me. Dang! That's a good looking Sport touring bike.  :thumb:

My friend Chuck completes his conversion of a Moto Guzzi Lario 4v 650 into a Moto Guzzi Lario 2v 750 Hemi / Aero. The engine came from a drone that ran two Moto Guzzi 750 engines.

Thanks, Seth.  I was hoping the long rumored new Le Mans would be a V9.. not that there it anything wrong with the Roamer and Bobber.. but I was bitterly disappointed at the time. I would have pried open my wallet for one.
I'm over it, though, and love the Aero Lario, warts and all. It's a keeper.

No, I'm bringing the carnivorous insect MZ. Then, we'll continue to the coast, and ride down to Redondo Beach, (always have wanted to do that) leave it there, and bring the Mighty Scura back to Indiana. I don't get to play with the Scura enough, and have always felt guilty letting it sit, rust, and corrode. The Skorpion is a *great* handling bike, and will be fine in the canyons. And.... I don't care about it.

Nope, when I saw that MZ in a pile..cheap..not running, apart, ran when parked etc.  I thought, "Perfect. I've read of their handling prowess although I've never seen one. It'll be fine in California."  It will be.

Chuck,

Nice bike!!

What size are those bags? Do they mount the same way as my larger bags? I was thinking about something a little thinner than what's on my EVT.

Thanks,

Thanks! They're the 30 liter bags, interchangeable with your 40s, as far as I know.

The 40's use the same mounts as the 30's.  Even though their theft proof to most people.  They can still be yanked off the mounts with some effort.  Best to remove the bags if on the bike overnight in a sketchy area.

30Ltr, might have to look for a set of those. The 40's feel like I'm going to whack a car every time I have to work my may through traffic.

Thanks!

Thanks. From the very first time I rode it I thought the same. When the Kid took it out the first time, he came back and said, "Guzzi screwed up, didn't they?"
