But with service at 1200 miles and 4025 miles done there should not have been a second service, so just do service at next point, that is 6000miles? And when it breaks you get it paid.
I see you still managed to have a bird in the picture, though. Shaun
Just because you are all showing off...
Beautiful!
Peter runs on Pizza and red wine. I fear the other one might be a bit more costly to run......Pete
Can't tell a thing due to it being in an enclosed space and only listening on the iPad. Does sound noisy but I'll bet it's never had its valves done or had a proper TB balance.Grab a 5mm Allen key and see if both the air bleeds are open. Bet they are.Pete
Underneath and inside of throttle bodies. To whit the brass bit in the middle of this pic. You have to feel for them.]
Okay cheers Pete.Think I'll pass that info onto the dealer when she goes in for service.
Thought I'd show off again!
You shouldn't need to. That's the whole point. It's a simple thing to check yourself. If the dealer doesn't know how to tune a W5AM bike after they've been in production for over TEN YEARS it's time to find another dealer because sure as shit ain't sugar if they can't even balance throttle bodies they aren't going to be able to pull a cambox without rooting something!
Very nice!
I did say at start of thread that I'm new too Guzzi. Having rode brits for years. This modern tec becomes a drag.I've never used a dealer in my life, but seems because of all these teething problem, to get a chance of replacement parts, have I got a choice?
Well, you do. Rather than bothering with the dealer you don't have any faith in just buy the kit and do it yerself. All of the 'Fear' of 'New Tech' comes to nothing when you just accept that all you need is a few different tools to the ones you already have. A beater laptop, a couple of cables, a manometer type device for balancing the throttle bodies, (Which you should already have unless you've never owned a bike with more than one cylinder before!) and a programme downloaded from the web for the cost of a small donation and you're probably better set up than your dealer! If you just buy the kit and do it yourself you don't have to pay the shaved ape of questionable ability at the shop to do the job and you will know it's been done right if you're competent.Pete
