There's something about bikes of that era and style that make me want to climb on one, and cruise backcountry gravel roads all day long, at about 50 km/h.

True, but there's something about the paint, chrome, and PRICE on that bike that would make sure I stayed off of gravel roads with it, at any speed!

I'm a firm believer that bikes are meant to be ridden, and that means scratches and dents and chips and dings and oxidization and eventual spray-bomb paint jobs as time wears on.

So yeah... I wouldn't be dropping that kind of cash on a bike. I will never be a "collector" of motorcycles, that's for sure.
