Good experience with Mr.Metric.com needed metric bolts
« on: June 13, 2015, 04:14:09 PM »
I purchased some billet one inch risers for my B1100 of the inter web some time back, they are nicely machined but came sans any mounting bolts.   The local hardware store doesn't carry Allen head button bolts, neither does Farm and Fleet, so I didn't know where to turn.   I knew I could get them from McMaster Carr, but I don't have an account and I really only needed 6pc.

Someone here on this board mentioned a company called MrMetric.com, I looked them up and it was a piece of cake!  I quickly found exactly what I needed on their web site  SS A2 8 x 55 mm button head bolts for just over a dollar each, with no min order, and flat $6 shipping!  So for just over $13 I got 6 high quality metric bolts shipped to my door via USPS 2day mail.  I know it's a small thing, but every thing about the way they do business seems competent, professional and they gave me the feeling they appreciated my business.

Anyway, I recommend them after my experience, wwwMrMetric.com

Thanks, I'm always looking for good vendors.  I'll bookmark their site.

Just for reference, you don't need an account to order from McM, just a credit card.

I've used Bolt Depot (www.boltdepot.com) to good effect as well. Wide selection of SAE, metric, style, metallurgy. Quick turn around  :thumb:
