ThE GS may be ugly to you, but crossing the Andes on mine I wasn't looking for Italian flair.

Apparently not. You didn’t get it either.

I've seen pictures on 3 new models.

1. Travel version of the V85 - Large screen, special gold/bronz paint, street oriented tires and hard bags
2. 10th Anniversary Racer with natural aluminum bits, and satin chrome tank - limited to 750 models
3. V7 Racer with fairing, LED lighting and a few other cosmetic changes

Saw these on my mobile phone, but am a bit of a luddite to copy to WG. Here is a link to the V85 bike https://www.motorcyclenews.com/news/new-bikes/moto-guzzi-v85-tt-travel-2020/

For a manufacture the size of Moto Guzzi, I think they did quite well. I know expectations were higher and broader than the three latest models: V85 TT, V85 TT Travel and the V7 III Racer. But higher and broader simply may not be possible at this point. It seems Moto Guzzi is doing all they can to keep the V85 TT in the pipeline for the initial higher than expected demand. Likely by the end of 2019, most who are going to buy the V85 TT will have already done so. Therefore the V85 TT Travel and the 10th anniversary V7 Racer III should arrive in time to pick up some of the downturn from V85 TT sales. Though I hope I'm wrong and V85 TT sales continue to surpass expectations.

As to why BMW can make a large engine like the R18 E5 compliant. Sales, period. BMW 'could' (not will) sell more R18's in its first year of the R18 than Moto Guzzi sells all models combined in the same time period. Therefore BMW has the interest and the ability in designing the R18 line. As much as I want Moto Guzzi to do certain things and make a certain type of bike, Piaggio just doesn't have the resources dedicated to the Moto Guzzi line to do everything we want them to do.

Though I still have some rather high expectations for the Moto Guzzi 2021 Centennial line up.

The black with gold striping was hot.. Thank Smokey & The Bandit for that..  But, Trans Ams came in a full palette of colours.

If the highlights of the show are the Aprilia 660 Twin and an updated VStrom, I'd say there wasn't a lot happening.  Don't get me wrong, that little 660 sounds like a barrel of monkeys if it's really 100hp and 350lb and the Suzuki looks pretty cool which saying a lot for a Suzuki.

So is it all done or will the be a few more new bikes?

Humm..

Looks suspiciously like my R1150GS that has had some sort of road damage that has caused the cylinders to be at the wrong angle.

Emulation is sincerest form of  do it right...no?

My case rested.

The photos of the 2020 H-D Pan America look pretty nice. It's not a bike style I'm interested in purchasing but I do think it looks boatloads better than the BMW GS and other similar bikes.

Well, Piaggio/Guzzi could learn at least one thing from Harley:  Tubeless wheels are a thing.  Put them on your ADVbike.

I went to the local Harley Shop to kick tires.  I usually head over there 2 or 3 times a year.  I asked them about the new line of bikes and not only did they not know about them, they acted like I had landed from Mars just by asking.

I think the front end on the Pan America looks like it belongs on a 60s Buick.    HD must  be looking to sell it to non traditional HD buyers,  the name alone will surly turn off some redneck types in Merica.

I'm looking forward to seeing that new V=Strom @ the local Triumph-Zuki dealer. And may I emphasize L-O-C-A-L???

Ah - just like my local Aprilia -Vespa - Moto Guzzi - Suzuki - Royal Enfield - Kymco dealer. 5 min from my home. Pity he just dropped Ducati.
