Evidently I’m a bad influence(wife buying new motorcycle)
« on: March 01, 2023, 11:04:16 AM »
Well my wife has missed riding since being hit by an impatient driver and having her bike totaled. She has absconded with my v7 on several occasions to get her fix.

So yesterday after much consideration and me not trying to influence her in any particular way except to enable…. Put a deposit down on 2023 MT 07 she is in love with in cyan storm. Delivery expected this month. She’s pretty excited. I’m excited she still wants to ride with me.

It sounds as if she owes you a few rides on the new bike.

After a very spirited twisty road ride I can say that bike has only one fault. It's chain driven!

Very happy lady. She’s thrilled to be back with her own set of two wheels after that stupid driver incident.

I've been able to make my chain drive bikes more fun using Scott Oilers, but indeed now that I own and have put some serious miles on shaft drive bikes a chain is a minus to me now.

That's awesome, here my wife is the bad influence.  It so great to have a wife that loves bikes as much as we do!

I feel so blessed all the time, the joke around here is out of 12 bikes only 3 are mine LOL

I have always loved the looks of those Viragos.  Ended up with a Honda shadow 700 in 1986 because it was on sale and much less expensive than the Yamaha.  If someone would come out with a cruiser today with the same ergos I would be very tempted.

Her very first street bike was a 55 Virgo, so when we started collecting she wanted a Virago in the mix, we found this beautful 1995 1100 in almost show room condition so we snatched it up.  She absolutlely loves it, she is 5' 3" so the low center of gravity puts her flat footed, not so much on the others.   Shadows are bullet proof bikes as well!

Thanks!

Here is Deb at 26 with her Virago and our daughter at 26 with her Honda CB500F, apple didn't fall far from the tree.
