Stopped by a Harley dealership to check out their bikes.  The salesman asked me what I ride? I told him I have a Moto Guzzi. He asked whats that? [emoji848]

Yup! Had almost the same experience when I took the wife to the local HD dealer to get her Softail.

That said, the new HD bikes are great machines, but I still prefer my Guzzi.  :thumb:

VII Sport or Griso, not so much.

You're telling us that a green V11 Sport doesn't get any comments?

I had some teenagers pull up along side of me at a stoplight and say "Wow, does that have a driveshaft?"

My wife and I while driving along the CT shore many years ago in my S-10 PU I had at the time and get flagged down by an old VW bus that was behind us, it was a young couple from Germany, they had seen my MGNOC sticker in the back window and wanted to know if we owned the Guzzi shop down the road.(no) We had a nice chat in his limited english and my none German and I got that he had a Spada (SP) back at home.

That teenagers know what shaft drive is on a motorcycle might mean that there is hope for the next generation.

Today I needed to go shopping. I pulled into the lot and a brand new no license plate black Harley was parked in my usual half sized parking space right by the entrance. So I took the other half size spot a bit away next to a shopping cart collection area.

An employee was collecting the shopping carts and noticed my blue bike.

So while I was shopping with my leather jacket on, a few people said to me nice black bike you have out there. I said thanks but not my bike. AARRGH..

When checking out the same guy that was collecting the carts, now bagging the groceries, said that I have a nice bike. I said which one are you talking about the black one? He said, what black bike?? I didn't notice two bikes in the lot, I mean the blue one that you rode up on.

I thought that was funny as heck. Made my day in a good way! If we would have had time, I would have tutored him in Guzzi!!
