Look at the bright side. You can use the time to do any maintenance, polishing, tires, etc.
And winter is a good time for hiking. Far less ticks, insects, less people.
And you'll find you can hike faster and further than you can in hot weather.

We are supposed to get a good blast of winter today. 12 - 17 inches. I resurrected my old arctic cat jag over the last few weeks. Kinda looking forward to trying it out. If you can't beat It join it. Be safe out there !!!

The center in NC where I'm located there will be a 40+ temperature drop in a 24 hour period, from T shirts to cold suits. Dang!!!

At least you have snow! We have rain, and freezing rain, and ice, and more rain... Not at all nice.

Plus, if you have a garage, you can spend some quality time with your bike, while the outside world is blanketed in beautiful, quiet snow.

Me? I don't have a garage. Spending any time with my bike means taking its cover off and standing with it in the cold rain. So, enjoy what you can!

What a great time to go over ever nut, bolt, and fastener just to double-check, scan the interwebs for accessories like tankbag, windscreen, raingear, and sign-up for a spring MSF rider refresher course!

Also to put together/refine roadside emergency tools/spares, etc...

One wintertime activity for me is to do as much routine maintenance work on the bike as possible using the tools I carry onboard so I can ensure I'm carrying stuff I can actually utilize....my2cents

How boring would it be if every day was xx degrees? Every season (northeast) has it's attractions.
And in a few months the next season rolls in.
Get out, walk, fish, kayak, hike, it's like you are a kid again.

Yeah, I like the seasons, too. At the moment, however, Winter is a little much.

WTF  He had no heat!! Had to fix this--

Then I put on my Big Boy Gloves so I had heat, just not the same kind!! I don't use lectrics.

It's Still only 37* out there, not warming up today. Wasn't cold enough for Carharts. But I let the 20/50 warm a bit.

Going down to 0 tonight, a high of 8 tomorrow.
Blustery too. Anyone with temps near that, please remember your best friends.
