Yep, I made the yearly pilgrimage to the south side of town (all of 8 miles)  to the Food For Less where they have a dozen red roses for $12.99 last night. I hate getting screwed by florists just because it's Feb. 14th. The wife is equally appreciative either way.

Fixed my sweetie marinated filets on the grill, sauteed mushrooms that we grew (awesome) roasted Brussels sprouts, and fake mashed potatoes. Topped off with a nice red wine. She swooned.  Maybe that will make up for me forgetting to get her a valentine's day card..

So Chuck - aside from your smooth moves - what are fake mashed potatoes?

Cauliflower mashed potatoes. I know.. sounds yuckky, but with some half & half, butter, salt and pepper..they are actually edible. Keeps us from eating a boat load of carbs. I can save the carbs for beer.  :boozing:
