I'm surprised it didn't fall over while idling on the side stand!

Probably will double, or even triple the current $6000 bid by auctions end. Neat machine.

Nice bike.  I’m glad the seller didn’t shine it up. I like the maroon ones better but I think and hope this one will go big.

Can anyone explain why this 81 Ford F-150 is worth this kind of money? OK, it is 318 miles on the clock and I would assume that every gasket and seal is toast or going to be a problem if driven for any amount of time. But $27K with three days to go......?

“ Can anyone explain why this 81 Ford F-150 is worth this kind of money?”

Only that Bring A Trailer has a vast audience, with a lot of disposable (and I mean that in the most literal sense) money. Lots of interesting and rare vehicles pop up there, but also some very mundane ones as well, which garner silly bids.

They will probably list that on Bat too, with a starting bid of $5K.

Crazeee money!  Yes.  Out here they fly in on their private jets.  Hang out in their gated community.  Private chef for the meals.

With six hours left, it’s at $8000. I guess there will be a long 2 minutes at the end.

Sold for $11,500.  The ID tag certainly looks original but the engine/VIN number seems too low for a Dec 1972 build date...
EDIT: My Engine is 324##  and the build date is DIC 1972.

Since it was a BaT auction, I fully expected this to go a lot higher. Maybe their new way of operating, is watering down auction interest.

Dave,

Was that your LM III on BaT a few weeks ago?
I was surprised it did not garner higher bidding.

Yes, it was. I had followed a number of BaT auctions before deciding to go that route. There was an unexceptional red LM III that sold for 10K on Bat two years ago. So I expected more bidding, but it didn't happen. Originally I submitted the bike with a reserve and BaT replied back to encourage me to forgo the reserve-- which I did. It's somewhat involved and time consuming to list there. In retrospect I'd likely done as well or better with eBay and invested much less time. Oh well!
