Post by: vintagehoarder on February 06, 2023, 06:40:05 AM
Here some higlights from the 2023 Garage Brewed Motorcycle show at the rhinegeist brewery.  Great show this year some cool Guzzi's as well in there.

Yep, nice pics, thanks for posting!

I especially liked the Eldo Sport 8vt, Eldo rat bike & cb350 w/sidecar but in general I thought all of them were nice.

Managed to get down there for a couple hours.  Couple interesting stories.  I met a guy by the name of Lee Lux who customized the
1978 Vespa P125 X (the gray one behind the yellow one in the pictures). The engines a  modified the P200E crankcase with a 252 cc cylinder set up.   Modified front suspension with 11 inch tires . Top speed of 98 mph (so far, as he says).  Daily driver.  He has a business that modifies scooters.  Came up from Norcross Georgia. Super interesting guy.  The pristine 1973 Norton Commando 850 Roadster Cafe racer with aluminum Manx replica tank and handmade
aluminum body .  The cardboard plaque in front of the bike stated:  "I am the 2nd owner-purchased at a self storage auction for $300-matching
numbers-owned since 2003."    Can you imagine swinging up the garage door of the storage bay you just bought contents sight unseen for $300 and
this is sitting in there.  That's a good day.  Spent some time looking at the  three Janus and talking to I assuming one of the principals of the company.
Can't appreciate the time and quality fabrication these guys put into these machines.  The motors are tried and true Chinese units, the bikes truly are
works of art.  You would have to see them in person to appreciate the detail and quality of craftsmanship.

Yeah, he was a real treat.  He said he would stay until midnight and talk to me about scooters.  He was the highpoint of the day for me.
