Moto Guzzi Experience 2024
« on: February 27, 2024, 02:45:17 PM »
They've announced this years European/African rides.

I've already signed up for the Alps tour. Been wanting to do this for a while. I'm really psyched about it!

Any word yet on the US ride locations/dates? I'm really interested in the Stelvio.

Thanks

I haven't seen anything. But I suspect they use a different tour company for the US.

I spoke to Mike G from Piaggio who was on my Experience ride last year. He said the US calendar will be out in 'early March'.

I signed up for the Tail of Dragon- V85 already sold out.

Rocky Mountains and Pacific Northwest available- but only offer rider with rented bike and rider with own bike.

Yellowstone trip sold out- only passenger with shared room available. I did this trip last year. It was fabulous. I did Arkansas in 2021- not an option this year.

Hurry and sign up if you are interested!

Just signed up for NM/CO Rockies. This is going to be a mixed surface ride on Stelvios. Should be epic!

As noted Yellowstone is already sold out and rides book up quickly. Act now if you're interested.

That should be a good one!  Lots of possibilities between Taos and Pagosa Springs.

Wouldn't be surprised if Trujillo Road and Cat Creek Roads, west of Dulce, are part of the mix.  Pretty country along the San Juan and Navajo Rivers.

Lots of gravel/dirt to ride in Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, too.

Lots of gravel/dirt to ride in Rio Grande Del Norte National Monument, too.

Here's the itinerary - sounds a little challenging. I've got 3 months to get in better physical condition in order to fully enjoy this adventure.:

Day 1, Thursday June 6th: Taos Ski Valley, NM

To welcome everyone, we begin with a simple skills course, organized with Taos Ski Valley, to get your feet wet with how the Stelvio will handle some of the upcoming conditions and hopefully expand your off-road comfortability and capability. This leads us into our first section of the trip which includes completing the enchanted circle, one of the most sought after sections of pavement in the area.

Day 2, Friday June 7th: Taos Ski Valley, NM – Pagosa Springs, CO

With a taste of what the Stelvio is capable of, day two provides the opportunity to test both man and machine. Heading down out of the picturesque Taos Ski Valley we work our way up toward Antonito to begin an approximately 50-mile section of the New Mexico BDR, where the Stelvio truly feels at home. To wrap up a long and challenging day we set up camp at Pagosa Springs, CO.

Day 3, Saturday June 8th: Pagosa Springs, CO - Taos Ski Valley, NM

Refreshed and ready to take on the final leg of the journey we get set up for a Supermoto style ride with a mixture of on and off road. Heading deeper into the Rocky Mountains we wind our way up towards Jasper, CO, reaching around 11,000 feet and stopping occasionally to bask in the breathtaking views. Then completing the loop back with a long dirt trail that spits us out onto winding mountains roads heading south. Then crossing through the Carson National Forest back into Taos Ski Valley.

I just changed my ride to the Pacific Northwest event. Better logistics to Bend, OR, more riding and lower altitude. This is also a mixed surface ride with "off-road experience recommended".

I'm surprised nobody is signing up for the European trips. When you compare them to other European motorcycle tours they are quite a deal!
