Just a suggestion, you might have better luck if you refrain from negotiating your transaction on the World Wide Web before you speak to the seller.

Why are you specifically looking for an 07-08? I have a very low mile, 2017 Diavolo Nero I may be selling in the spring.

I recently bought an immaculate '08 Sport 1200 with about 12k miles for a very reasonable price. It's not as sexy as the Griso (which I hope to buy someday) but it has a larger tank, easy pannier solutions, and maybe better ergos. I'm hoping it'll chew miles a bit more comfortably than my '17 V7. It's very similar to the 07/08 Griso with the 2v heads and drive line, but has a 1200 engine vs the 1100. You might consider it.

Very nice bike indeed ... I purchased a new (2008) 1200 Sport about ten years ago ... it was a leftover, never sold, but was about two years old at the time. I have vivid memories of blasting along the PA turnpike, hitting triple digits occasionally, (when no traffic was around, of course) ...

Sadly, the bike went through about three dash panels (display would go blank and bike would be dead, and not start) and also suffered from stepper motor issues. Traded it back in and purchased my Coppa Italia. That one too is gone now, miss them both.

Rick.

I am tempted because it will be cheaper, and worried that I will not like 8V noise when i can have less valve noise in a 4V.

If the bike is too expensive, I may not be able to purchase.

Basically I went along these  thoughts.

I have one, but I ain't selling it.  It's a gorgeous bike and for all the reasons mentioned, it may be a better choice than the 8V.  Just to say, hold out for one, it'll be worth it . . .
