That heavy aluminum makes for good, even heating.
And nothing sticks because it's already oiled.

Yes.  It's a very rare Moto Guzzi dish washer.

Back in a previous life I put a barrel off a 500 BSA B33 in the oven to heat up for removal of the sleeve.
I knew I was doing the wrong thing at the time but did not give a bugger, anyway opened the oven door and the smell was intense (but good..!).
Wearing shorts and thongs I grabbed the barrel with a rag and dashed out side.
Upon going out I tipped it upside down and the bloody smoking hot sleeve literally fell out of the barrel and landed on my bare foot, hurt like buggery it did..!
To add insult to injury, my then wife screamed her guts out at me for contaminating the stove and stinking out the kitchen !
In my defence with a packet of frozen peas on my injured burned foot, I told her that the barrel smelt better than half the crap she churned out of the Westinghouse.... (not actually true, but I had to say something..)
She then told me to drive myself to the hospital and take my time coming home...!
No bloody sense of humour... :thewife: :violent1:
I knew it was her fault the marriage didn't last.

He'll be needing some Aloe Vera based preparation for his sore arse when she belts the living suitcase outta' him.
Quite right too, total lack of consideration...

Ohhh, he's making a mistake, there... I learned my lesson years go and put a small 24" wide kitchen range on a welder outlet in my garage. I can put parkerising and hot blueing tanks on the top burners, and bake anything I want in the oven.

One of the perks of being retired, and the wife still working, is I am the "king of the house" from 8 AM-5PM. I pull off shit like that all the time.... What happens at home when the wife isnt home, never happened!

Yeah but where's the fun in that ?
We love a good story here at WG.

I own a parts cleaner, one that has mineral spirits in it.  I can't use her oven either, I didn't buy it. I also like being married (sort of). Can't afford the alternative. I try my best to get along.

well thanks mate but they're not my lines..
I did actually make her laugh on the second date once we'd moved onto that level, but that's a story for another day.
And again in my defence.
It was a very cold night...  :embarrassed:

Putting my first Eldo together, I remember waiting for my girl to go to bed, then preheating the battery mount bracket in the oven, then running it out to the garage and spray painting it - worked great.
That's the combustion chamber of the turbo shaft. It is supposed to be on fire. You just don't usually see it but the case and fairing fell off.
