What to ride in the winter
« on: January 07, 2019, 11:39:09 PM »
When cold and the roads are mud or covered with sand, this is my choice

1958 R69 BMW, 1972 R75/5, 1980 yamaha XS650, 1982 GL1100, 2003 EV, 2007 Triumph America and 2017 V7!!!
All on the road, going nowhere in particular.

Must have spikes sticking outa those tires. I have never ridden on winter slick road on purpose. I guess there would be less road rash if one went down.

Hey GuzziSteve,Nice looking rig! I love the front end, Is your Cal II , an automatic ,or a 5 speed?  It looks like a heavy sidecar, I am wondering how does an auto cal II compare to a 5 speed for sidecar duty? Are the brakes on the bike adequate?
Thanks
Rick.

I got my dream 4WD a few years back. A 2000 Toyota 4Runner with a V6 and a 5-speed. I was in heaven until I realized that I don’t live in New Mexico anymore...
