Interesting promo for another "new" model.  If you pass on the Himalayan, maybe this is your option -

Sounds like the same 500 single with a WWII paint job...  I find their thumpers appealing, but I'm not convinced they are all that well made so that I can do more riding than putzing with it.  Thanks for the note on their "new" model.

Not gonna lie I love it. Who knows how good it performs or looks in real life minus all the lens flares/slow mo shots/ filters of this video...even with the fluff...I still love it. I'd rock one. No questions.

Back in the day, bikes had to be capable of handling all roads. My old Triumph TR6R came with Dunlop K70s for a reason: some roads are not paved. The RE Pegasus reminds me of that sort of bike. However, it weighs 427 lbs and sports only 27hp. My old Trumpet weighs 400 lbs wet and delivers 42hp to the rear wheel...and it's 47 years old. These Royal Enfields are cool, but a little too nostalgic for my money.

This may sound weird, and it IS......but the only way I would buy a Royal Enfield , is if they had their motors built by Rotax, KTM,or a similar company!

Back in the early 70s I trail road with a bunch of hard ridding ruff necks. We did everything from flat tracking and hill climbing to hard core endurance mountain ridding. There were many differences types and makes of bikes that road with us. A few of us owned the Honda XL250 and 350 bikes. When we bought them new we removed the lights and replaced the tank and fenders with abs aftermarket ones so when we traded them they woukd look like new and we would get top dollar. I can attest first nothing out there made a good a hard core trail and endurance bike as these XL bikes did. I simply can’t imagine these RE bikes holding a candle to the Honda’s.

Someday, a RE will fall in my lap for a price too good to pass up, and I will snap it up in a heartbeat.

That would be absolutely *perfect* for the roads around my place...

I have all the nostalgia i need with my W650 around 50 no and one of the coolest engines, cross between Triumph twin, and Norton/Ducati bevel drive OH cam. Just fun to ride, and will do Texas highway speeds with ease.

Love my W650.  With it,  I have no need for an RE, even the new 650.

The Pegasus?   Meh.   Not my thing.

I think the new 650's are beautiful bikes, and I hope they sell well.    Like I said, with the W650 (and two V7's), I don't need one.
