Scored a Euro sidestand
« on: July 05, 2017, 04:59:42 PM »
I was looking through the Moto Guzzi bikes and parts group on facebook the other day and somebody had a Norge/Breva Euro sidestand and mounting bracket for sale. I was the 1st person to jump on it. It arrived today.

Now if I can just find the MFW adjustable pegs or the GL1800 pegs and the adjustable toe pieces for the brake and shifter that I have stashed somewhere around the house...I may just get the Breva set up where I can ride it again.

Well flip, did u find your pegs?  I just put MFW Vario pegs on my Norge. Modified the USA stand to euro shape. Works great!

Yes, I did finally find them...I just haven't gotten around to installing any of the parts. Yes, I am lazy...I just haven't felt like wrenching lately. Or riding much either. I'm having some issues from last fall's broken back. I am back working full time but back in physical therapy and getting shots where they numb the area before sticking the long needle in.

Maybe next month, oh wow, it's September 1 here now...okay, maybe in a few weeks...

Based as I am in Euro Land my B11 obviously has a Euro side stand fitted

Why do you guys covert them over the US version?

The USA or North American side stand works great. It will generally keep a bike from falling over even if the side stand starts sinking into soft pavement or dirt. It will sink only so far then no farther. However, it goes under the rider foot pegs and does not leave room to use dropped or lowered foot pegs.
