A rare T-5 Guzzi on Ebay, no reserve auction, an interesting bike
You are looking at a rare 1984 Moto Guzzi 850 T5. This was recently found sitting with a collection of other vintage motorcycles. The tool kit is there, see photos. There is a matching Florida title for it. The motor spins over when you rock it in gear, but it has not run in some time, so it is being listed as a non running project. Some parts like the points cap are not there, see detailed photos below this description.

Interesting sales approach. Apparently, lots of effort put into making it look "pretty" (tire black on tires, paint looks pretty good, header pipes well-polished near the exhaust outlet, etc.) but some easily corrected details were missed or just skipped (missing nut on one of seat hinges, missing rubber plug on right side of engine, missing points cap, part of tank under the filler flap not cleaned up, etc.). Despite the good overall cosmetics, I'd be suspicious that this is a "pig with lipstick", i.e. looks good on the surface but lots of hidden (& probably expensive) problems. I might be tempted if I lived within 20 miles of it & if the bids didn't go much higher. I do have to say that the seller put some effort into showing the various damaged plastic parts and seat, to his/her credit.

Looks like it has been sprayed down with some plastic preservative or tire black - hopefully whoever gets it, it is at a reasonable price and that it doesn't cost too much to bring back to running condition. Lots of sitting around I think...

Howdy. I deleted the thread because the bikes have been removed from EBAY. I usually remove these kind of threads after the items have been sold. Sorry if you lost important info.

OK, thx for responding. I only wanted to point out that:
i) the colour scheme is an OEM one... and the bike's black paint, strangely, appears maybe to have suffered under the sun's UV... more than the red (it usually is the other way around);
2) here is the Series I bike in that red: https://www.google.com/url?sa=i&url=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.youtube.com%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DIVbiRY48mDo&psig=AOvVaw3jwhLcpstMRKRnIo2g6d8Q&ust=1612475485585000&source=images&cd=vfe&ved=2ahUKEwjzw7612c7uAhWSx54KHU7bB_UQhq8BegQIABAU ;

3) here is a graphic, concerning the "dashboard" (attached).
Cheers from Vancouver.

Me, I 'kinda figure that the 16" rear wheel looks inappropriately small. Again, YMMV, but the back-end looks "heavy" with that small wheel. Now I am biased, as I have a Series III... with an 18" rear wheel. I am not saying that the substantial divergence in wheel size, front to back (16" versus 18") on mine is brilliant, but... I like it better than the 16 / 16.
I do, rather like the paint scheme; for me that reddy-orange pops nicely.
Final comment... is that looking at the details, of missing elements, crack around one of the rivets for the aftermarket windshield, etc. etc - well, it makes me happy I have mine :) which is in excellent shape.

I thought it'd be interesting for folks to hear that the '84 T5 non-runner sold for $3327.
I attach a graphic of the 15 bids.
I personally think a fair amount of time was spent, by the seller, getting the bike to look decent... but I can see that the work was 85%. But then, I am a kind of fussy guy...
I hope the bike went to a good home.
I think the winning bid was a bit spendy, especially for a non-runner, but...
