I've been reading the owners manual
Specifically I've been reading how you set the Gear Shift Indicator lights
This was triggered by a statement I read where the guy said that he didn't miss the tacho on the V9 as the GSI light flashed at low revs (ie when he might be lugging the engine) to change down and again when he should change up (max revs) for any given gear
Is this right 'cos it's not how I read the manual :undecided:

I kind of take it as a “shift now” and a “shift NOW before you blow up!” setting. I’ll have to see what mine is set at - I’ve never noticed it coming on. On all my previous bikes I shift by feel and seldom looked at the tach. Don’t really miss it, either, except it looks strange without it and the speedo being mounted off center. I made a bracket and centered it but eventually put it back to normal. Crowded the key too much for my chubby hands.

Cheers Z - your interpretation is the same as mine
I just thought it would be quite smart if the other version was correct as you could set the Low to max torque @3000 and the High to max power @6250
