Jeff Beck IMHO if we're talking still alive. Way too tough to say if we're considering the deceased.

As the youngest of 4, I remember listening to my oldest brother playing a Jeff Beck album. Been a fan ever since, though I haven't listened to him in a while.

Anyway, you've made an impression here and I think you can expect an invitation to play guitar at "The National" in 2021!   (or maybe some other rally)
Maybe jam with "The Guzzi Geezers"  :thumb:

My strats's tremolo arms ... one kind of ''evolution''  :azn:

Normal/standard on the left. I moved little by little against shorter and shorter arm (firstly as I do not have big hands). But at the same time I also developed bit unique/weird style of playing (with that one on the right). I keep it ''available'' (all the time) if I just want that.

"Carlos Santana, another great, put on some great displays a few times I saw helim!
John Fogerty was fantastic when I saw him a few years back."

Agree with the above.

I saw Fogerty about 4 years ago.... he was great. Springsteen was also great and puts on a fantastic show. He turns around and plays to the audience behind him. Santana is a fantastic guitarist.... never saw him. I love Knopfler's music, both before and after Dire Straights... he's one of my favorites. Nancy Wilson of Heart can play. Back in the day I saw a lot of Neal Schon form Journey and I enjoyed his guitar playing. Saw them first in 1975, awesome concerts, before the top 40 Steve Perry days.

While I was looking for something else, I stumbled across this, hitherto unknown to me.  Starts out looking almost like an amateur hour jam session on someone's back porch, but then things tighten up considerably.

Tight is right!  Enjoyed that.  Not what you'd expect.

In sad news, Tony Rice pased away. The albums with him and Norman Blake, plus Doc Watson on a few tracks, were pretty much flatpicking perfection. RIP.

The whole issue is totally subjective. There's only one person who's made the R & R hall of fame 3 times.

Looking at the younger guys out there today hitting the stages, for a great show you need to see Mississippi All Stars. GREAT band, and a great live show to watch. Guitar player Luther Dickinson Has a cool style and sound. Worth checking out if you have not seen them.

The North Mississippi All Stars are a great band, we have seen them about a 1/2 dozen times and they always put on a great show.

Los Lobos are always great live, and I can't say enough about Tom Waits. Got to see Waits and his band on the last tour which was about 4-5 years ago and it was really an unbelievable performance.

I so wish I had seen these two when they were together. To me this would be the best act I haven't seen.
