Where is the goose ?
« on: August 08, 2022, 07:44:27 AM »
So for a year or so now, Triumph has been teasing about releasing a new MX bike.
It appears the Ducati is now jumping on to the same band wagon.

So will MG going the fray!?,  Will we see a V450 ?  or a shaft drive  MX'er ?

I used to work on the 450/550 V twin of Ape's, what a monster but blow up @ so many hrs. No skirts on piston so when rings & pistons got worn they would flip vertical. Had to keep alert to the noise motor was making. Not a bike to run to the store on but wide open race bike. At the end of run of models they were giving you a free one w/no warranty or VIN # just to get rid of them. I really liked that motor.

"No skirts on piston so when rings & pistons got worn they would flip vertical." Wow!

I really liked those bikes, heard they were a hoot to ride but the lifespan was a big no for me and I'm way too short for those bikes.

Damn, wish I knew about that; I'd take one in a heartbeat, just have source a pair of platform boots. Guess you didn't take one?

Buy one & get one free. One under warranty & one does not exist.

The Tech Rep over here by Athens has one new no miles. Don't know if it's one w/o VIN.

They have over 80hp. They are out there for sale.

Piaggio will not make a Guzzi dirt bike, they go to Ape's.
