I can vouch for those Kissell folks—they helped me when I banged my sidecar rig around while doing the MABDR. Great folks that worked with me and allowed me to work with them to fix my rig.

No doubt they’ll help out on a solid rally in my old home state.

Will anyone be riding out from the central/north Jersey area on Friday or Saturday? Also looking for route suggestions other than I-80 west for 3 hours.

If you can drop south and take 322 out of Harrisburg Pa ,the rally spot is just south of 322 at the Port Matilda exit west of State College.

I opened that up and it shows Route 80 west all the way out?

Try a northern route on Route 6 west (nice), then cut south on 15.

That's odd. Maybe it only saved on my PC. The route is 78-> 33->534->443->209->225->15->22->322, basically running state roads between I-78 and I-80.

My back has been acting up a bit so I've taken the precaution of booking a room at the Stony Point B&B which is about 15 min from the rally. Owner says there are still rooms available. Pretty reasonable at $145/night including taxes and of course, a good breakfast. http://www.stonypointbnb.org/

Update 8/22/22:

The catered dinner menu is finalized with Country Cafe' out of Houtzdale, PA.

Entree: Sirloin tips with gravy and Italian breaded chicken

Sides: Garlic mashed potatoes, green beans, glazed carrots

Dessert: Peanut Butter cake

Please note: the catered meal is included in the $50 entry fee, but the food has to be ordered by 8/31.  Please register in advance (by 8/31) so that we can let the caterer no how many are coming.  Walk-ups and late registrations are fine, however we cannot guarantee the catered meal if you've not pre-registered by 8/31.

We are anticipating 60-70 attendees at the rally.

Question - Since I will not be able to attend for the whole event because of work, is it worthwhile to ride up from the Hersey area for the day on Saturday. Will there be a cost to enter and are there more details as to the goings on?
Thanks

I don't (tent) camp, but had thought about driving the Eurovan up with the Morini or V50 III in the back and then sleeping in the van. But, I'd rather ride the whole way instead of driving. I too booked a room at Stony Point B&B. $149.85 per night total including taxes, be aware that they don't accept debit or credit cards, cash or check only.

Thanks Charlie and yes, the person I talked to was very clear about payment. No Venmo or PayPal either - just old school paper.

It's $50 per rider. Talk to JJ and maybe you can get a discount if you're bringing your own food.

From my MGNOC-NJ post:

Had a good ride out and back from the rally. Stayed off the Interstates so it was about 240 miles each way and about 6 hours of saddle time. Good to see the Blakes, Dennis and Harry.

Good turn out and the dealer support was felt. Many folks were trying the V85TT for the first time and some said the test ride will likely push them into a purchase. Food was good and abundant and there we heated showers for the campers.

Was great seeing everyone and getting to know some more faces from the forum. Charlie from VA (Antietam Classic Cycle) stayed at the same B&B so we had a chance to get to know each other a bit. Nice guy.

I decided to leave Saturday after lunch to stay dry and be home for my son leaving for his new piloting job in RI Sunday morning.

Many thanks to our hosts and Kissell Motorsports of Tyrone Cycle for bring the demo fleet out!
