Great midwestern rally! If you’re on the fence about a rally, this is the one for you. Lovely area ( unlike most of the mid west) very friendly lots todo.
-
Quite a few bring thier grandparents to see the bikes. One of the best rallies I've been to.
-
I wont be able to make it, this year, but I just added it to the list I've been making for next.

Interesting, I didn't think many Guzzi riders still had living grandparents!

They've moved Elkader to Northwest Iowa, so it's away from the river.

Ha! Yeah I google-mapped it, then checked the spelling, then confirmed with the description of the highways, then zoomed-out to re-confirm that I was, indeed, looking at northEAST Iowa, then concluded that it was a misprint.
Looks fun. Actually closer to me (in La Crosse) than the Wisconsin rally. I'll try to attend if/when I get my ambassador electrical issues sorted. Are all makes acceptable? Or will I be shunned for riding in on a Ducati?

Oh, yeah.. like all Guzzi rallies, you'd definitely be shunned for riding in on a Ducati.  Or a BMW. Or a Harley. Or a Morini, or...

I might make a day trip to see the bikes, if I can find my tent, maybe stay for the whole rally. Pretty sure I am off that weekend.

Bump for good weather for this rally.
Guess I will head up Fri, and spend the night.
-
Don’t strain yourself, that will be quite a trek from SW Wisconsin. Wink.
I know at lest 8 of us from IL will be coming over Friday!
-
I will be on an obnoxiously loud V7 stone, hanging out with a friend on an airhead.
I am going to grit it out an make the 30 minute trip to lake joy in aug also.

There’s another Guzzi in SW WI? :thumb:

I should be rolling in about 12-1 o’clock Friday afternoon. Looking forward to the rally. First trip on a Moto Guzzi , I hope it will be as dependable as my bmw airheads are. I am sure it will be or I wouldn’t take it out lol. I am a lot more braver since break downs are not the end of the world if you carry a cell phone.
