« on: February 27, 2023, 12:32:00 AM »

Bought a 1300 mile 2014 California Custom Project Bike

Owner bought it new  :food:- rode miles - stuck under a tarp & died..
I guess .. Widow put it out for sale ..

Tank interior rust it's a Total

The Bike is too massive for my 5'10 ..

Picked up a single side swing arm & Griso SE Final Drive Unit
& Rear Wire Wheel 5.5" .. light as possible

What's The Lightest Frame I can bolt all the parts onto ?

you might contact Pete Roper on this board.  I believe that he's built a 1400 Griso.

I am pretty sure that Jim Hamlin of Hamlin Cycles has created a 1400 hybrid.

Hamlin did that but it took a LOT of custom fab work to get the motor in including making new mounts and creating new mounting taps in the block.  Not for the faint of heart.
It was a 1400 motor in a Breva frame if memory serves.

They may very well sell you a frame...  You can get a more-or-less complete GSXR front end off ebay for under $600 (well, maybe not with the wheel)- but forks calipers & clamps
