I sent Rosemary a text early this morning but have received no reply as yet. I gather this may not be too unusual?

Getting close. Who is going? I did a close inspection on my rear tire last weekend and decided it would probably make the trip but not going to chance it. I ordered one on line then find out it won't be here until Monday. Cutting it too close, leaving first thing Wednesday. Independent shop at the end of the street will put on a different brand tomorrow. Bridgestone instead of an Avon which they couldn't get, out of stock. So I will be there, doing some sightseeing on the way but going to be running 80+ in parts of Nevada so the new tire.
So roll call. Who's coming?

Steve Ford...thanks for the follow up phone call...I was out of cell range and couldn't get back to you.  I'm on the fence about going to the Rally. Hot as Hades in northern Utah, air quality poor from fires in Oregon and California and the 460+ mile romp one way is looking less and less appealing. High of 95 projected for Thursday which would be launch time for me.

Of course looking at the fact that MoparNut72 is rolling north through Nevada on his bike at about that same time in temps that prob make what I'm facing like a mild fall day I might be forced to roll just to save face.

To the gentleman that rode this to the rally last year, I have your Shackleton bottle box we talked about. PM me and I'll get it in the mail gratis.

As I did last year, if I go it won't be on the V7R. Don't trust it for that distance. Rear seal leak X2, engine making strange noises at stop lights with clutch pulled in (throw-out bearing?).   I could pull it off and get everything I needed on it to camp but it would be VERY cramped.  I've committed it to being a static display with 7.1K miles on it. In the process of completing basement and had a spot for it framed out in a corner of the bar/theater room...Will look like a portion of a garage with Guzzi Racing posters above it.

Might consider another Guzzi in the future if they come out with a cafe/sport model with the newer motor...although as always the major hurdle for me and Guzzi living happy together is a competent mechanic in my time zone.  Doesn't appear that will ever happen.

If I launch it will be on this:

Some additional pics from last years BA Rally.

MoparNut72's ride:

stopping now...not sure if there's a picture limit..

Going back to doing more detailing on the XR...while the temps are still below the 90's

Those pictures were taken last year. The Audace is mine, last year was the first time I attended this rally. The liquid refreshments on the table were enjoyed by several especially the Shackelford. I can get you Jim's address if you don't come. Fun rally, pretty laid back.

I left this morning at 07:15, arrived in Arco Id at 18:15 or 11hours covering 641 miles. Lots of construction or I would have done better. I even had to wait for a cattle drive to cross the highway. Going to do some touristy stuff the rest of the way. I should be at Broken Arrow tomorrow afternoon. See you there.

I didn't take any pictures. There was a guy there with a drone who said he would post some video. I haven't seen it yet. It was kind of a small turnout.
