guessing a harold and maude film location.

Correct, Daniel.  Old causeway to the old Dumbarton Bridge, CA-84, Fremont, California.  New causeway to the new bridge over on the right.  This is the exact spot where the motor cop pulls over Harold and Maude for a long list of violations (stolen Ford Ranchero the least).  Maude proceeds to now steal the cop's  Guzzi Eldorado!  He tries to shoot her down, but alas a misfire.  The old bridge is now a fishing pier.  The old causeway takes you to it.  I often take Guzzi visitors here as it is only a few miles from home.  The LoopFrame rider in this photo is Bruce Baille of British Columbia.  He rode this bike to Brazil and back with a long list of horror stories posted here.  The odd bike with a roof is Karen and Kevin Browne of England an a highly modified SP who went around the world (almost) in three years.

Name the location and the person for whom this mountain pass of the Lincoln Highway is named (two different names are both correct):

I guess not many Lincoln Highway fans...  Anyway, to avoid leaving an open question in the thread, this is a shot of Johnson Pass (also named Fisher's Pass for Carl Fisher who  was instrumental in creating the Lincoln Highway).  The pass is in Utah and was the last of the open links to complete the entire coast-to-coast highway.

Today this route runs through what is now Dugway Proving Grounds, and so is closed to us.  It's an interesting case where the original major route was not used when the subsequent Interstate Highway was built.  I-80 is well to the north of here.  The Lincoln route combines the route of today's I-80 (east of here) with US-50 (west of here)  The difficulty was how to best get across the vast salt flats.

note the diagonal route between Salt Lake City and Ely, Nevada.

Almost Canada

I believe that's the fourth CT lake...headwater of the ct river at the border with Canada.....you park just south of the border outpost and walk west a ways, swatting black flies and cursing your riding boots, then your're thirsty, hungry and cold and they find you next thaw in the spring.....north are the Laurentians (?) I believe...south is miles of frost heaves, logging trucks, coeds, prep schools, lobster pounds and fishing camps until you get to Boston...

Hidden Lake and Seaton Lake, along highway 2 in Alaska, between Tok and Beaver Creek in the Yukon Territory of Canada.
Both are in Tetlin National Wildlife Refuge.
Taken July 31, 2014.
Not many mosquitoes, but ample warning signs about Grizzlies.
Found teeth marks in the plastic trail benches!

Hint #1: Where the wind comes sweeping down the plain(!)

Hint #2: The name makes you think 'Hawaii'.
