Thanks, very interesting. If you put in a twist it reduces vibrations, who'd a thunk that?

No knots! Got it. Very interesting. Thanks for posting! :thumb:

I've been putting twists in Ancra tie down straps and ratchet straps for years, good to know it doesn't lessen load capacity. I've done it to keep them from loosening from all the vibration caused by the wind. I have thought that vibration in Ancras might loosen the non ratcheting type gripping mechanism. Thanks for posting this!

Thanks John, 4-30-21
The tie down video was revealing...one or two twists to reduce vibrations.
The band saw video was amazing. I enjoy watching talented machinists, the perfect blend of exactitude, power and art.
Be well,

Nothing steampunk about that metal fab shop. I would love to have those machines to play with. Lot o' work to save that old relic of a band saw.

A truck driver who worked for the business I worked for taught me that 50 years ago. He also told me that if you move your coffee cup in a circular motion coffee won't slosh out.

That bandsaw rebuild is very impressive, the person clearly has skills, BUT all that work and no blade guard????? I would never run any of my bandsaws with all that blade exposed.
