Got Rain ?
« on: April 25, 2021, 06:25:23 AM »
It seems that it rains or snows or storms every time that I go to get a bike.
Luckily, we dragged a trailer along with us on this trip.

Looking forward to some ride time when we got home, but the rain was still hanging around.

Sooooo - it finally quit raining (mostly) and it was time for a little ride around the block.  A whopping 108 miles.  LOL

It's supposed to be dry for the next couple of days, so it'll get worn-in in short order.

Ii kind of wish I did.

Once the roads had gotten washed of salt, we got more snow resulting in more salt applied to the road. That is going on a week ago. Tuesday night/Wednesday morning.

In my travels yesterday, it is still pretty bad around here with piles where a truck waited at an intersection and salt dust being kicked up by passing traffic. So, with that in mind, I'm reluctant to subject my bikes to it, and have delayed putting my summer tires/wheels on the car.

The real kicker is they're predicting 80 on Tuesday. Rain maybe Wednesday and Thursday. Fingers crossed we actually get it and get the crap off the roads so the next opportunity after that will present itself.

Oh well...

Another of the same weather pattern we’ve seen in the past couple years now. The system developed in the gulf and goes northeast right through the center of Georgia, South Carolina, North Carolina, eastern Tennessee then assaults the northern east coast states.
