things that go bump in the night
« on: April 25, 2021, 08:25:37 PM »

twister came through about 330 in the AM Sat morning.
No one hurt, some damage to the roof and side of the trailer,  My shed is toast, but it missed the bike and the generator.

Glad you and the machines are safe and ok.

Hard to explain what it's like to see big trees shattered into toothpicks and everything twisted off & around things.  You just gotta see it.  The latest tornado missed here by a couple of miles.

That's some amazing good luck that there's no damage to the bike, I'd buy a loto ticket.

I’m glad everyone is ok.  The bike being spared is a bonus.

That was not a "bump" I'd bet that was more of a "BOOM!" in the night.

Glad you and (most of) the equipment came through OK.

spent Sat cutting up the limbs to take weight off the trailer waiting for the tree removal guy.  Took him about 3 hours to remove the trunk and limbs against the trailer with his boom.  His team cut up the debris and hauled it away.  he said he would be back after the ground dried up to take down the rest of the tree.

I will have to replace wind turbine vent, plumbing vent, bathroom vent and replace quite a few shingles.  Initial inspection  several shingles torn but it doesn't appear than the roof was penetrated.
I will know more tomorrow after replacing the vents and pulling up some shingles to check closer to damage.

Rain is not supposed to return until Thursday, so I should have time after work to replace the shingles I hope.
