New parts from Harper's. Fix those saggy signals
« on: May 05, 2021, 02:21:30 PM »
Hey guys, something I've been working on for a while and was ready to upload but with the website crashed, I have been focusing on that. For years we have all known the turn signal set up on the Cali's and others are horrible and as soon as you fix the signals, the taillight breaks. One of the reasons as we know is big junky turn signals on crappy mounting set ups. I built a plate like this years ago for my own Cal 3 and it worked  pretty well, but never made it to the front burner for production. I decided to go ahead and get this project going again.

So we have taken possession of the first run of these turn signal bracket kits. I have them for the front and the rear. I will be offering them with or without turn signals. The rear bracket is a steel piece the wraps around the taillight housing and screws in at four points and is quite stable to hold many types of signal that uses a 10mm mounting stud. The front is a tear drop shape that has a locating spacer to locate and stabilize it in place. Also 10mm hole for turn signal mounting. The rear bracket will be $24.50 each and the front $24.50 for the pair. Signals in pics are $34.95 for a pair. While the site is down , if interested call me 816.697.3411

They are first attempt and still have a few bugs to work out for the rear. At this point the metal they are made of is a bit stiffer than I wanted and they have to be bent a bit to get them around the taillight body to mount. But the second run will be fixed, and probably a few more dollars.  Probably should get all the bugs worked out before telling anyone but I didn't want everyone thinking we were out of business and not doing anything while the website gets fixed. Let me know what you guys think.

Very nice looking!  :thumb:

Will that unit also replace the pos failure prone stock CalVin tail light support bracket? or is it only suitable for earlier Calis?

Curtis,

Interested in the aluminum turn signals.

Looking at your website, items 51 196 and 51 197 are listed and I can't tell from the picture if they're the ones you're showing in your post.

Need a pair of them, but want to make sure I order the right ones.

Can you help?

Thanks!
